Julia's Birthday

Julia is 9 today. I am so excited to post nice things about her. Yes, her birthday is Dec 20th. You can read more about her on www. callingallinglet.blogspot.com. I found out today we now have 2 blogspots.
1. Julia is 9 and a very bright student. She was on the top 10 percent in the nation in a national test
2. She loves school
3. She loves her little sister Sydney
4. She loves cousin Katleyn and always wants me to bring her down when I come
5. Julia is a beautiful ballerina. She takes dance and loves. Her teacher put her in a pre point class and I can hardly wait to buy her her first toe shoes
6. Julia plays the piano and takes lessons from her Grandma Ivey
7. Julia loves her Uncle Matthew and loves Mr. Puppett
8. Julia loves Disneyland. We have all been to Disney with her one Dec and another time in October. Such fun memories
9. Julia is learning to decorate cakes with her Mom- she loves it too
10. WE love Julia and we are so glad she is our granddaughter.

I am trying this to see if it works. Sorry for the inconvience

Our little Julia

We have had another birthday in the family. Our Julia, Stephanie and Jason's oldest, just turned 9 on December 20th. It just doesn't seem possible that she is that old. It seems like yesterday she was born. Well here is her Grandma's tribute to our Julia.

1. She is a very pretty little girl
2. She is an excellent dancer- Julia can really ballet beautifully. My brag here, but her teacher put her in a pre point class. I can hardly wait to buy her her first toe shoes.
3. She is very smart. Last year she made the top 10 percent in the nation on her test
4. She is a wonderful big sister. She loves little Sydney so much, and is very kind to her.
5. She is Moms little helper. I have watched her even make cakes with her mom
6. She loves to sing. One of my favorite memories is when she was just about 5 she would sing the song Sleeping Beauty sings, and she was right on key with a vibrato to match
7. She loves to play with cousin Katelyn. They have always been best friends, and they have so much fun when they are together.
8. Julia plays the piano and gets to take her lessons from Grandma Ivey. That is a special time between grandma and granddaughter.
9. Julia loves Disneyland. She loves to stay with Aunt Kristie and see the princesses
10. Julia loves MR. PUPPETT and her Uncle Matt. They have a special relationship.

I am glad that Julia is our granddaughter. She is a very sweet, kind and loving little girl. At night her bedroom window looks right out on the Timpanoges Temple, and cousin Katelyn thinks that is quite special

4th of July/ Retirement

Can you believe it, we have a family blog. I hope all of you kids and friends will check it often. I am terrible about keeping journals, and so maybe this will help.

Well, your Father is OFFICIALLY RETIRED. Yes, he came home last Wednesday and told me that was his last day. He had found two days in 2006 that he hadn't used. Go figure that, how many times have we all asked him to come somewhere but he didn't think he could get the time off. OUCH. Oh well, now we can come basically anytime that I am not teaching.

His last official duty was the 4th of July. He actually came to the parade with us and then we went to the Melalucca Dinner where he was security and then directed traffic after the big event.

Angie and her family came with us and then Angie and I watched him direct traffic. This was quite entertaining.  He really had to yell at people to listen to how to leave a parking lot. Everyone was in a hurry to just pull out so that they could wait in another line .  We were smart and let everyone waste their gas, and we waited for about an hour.

The next day little Michael got baptized. It was a great day and I had the Morgan family over for a little luncheon. We had a nice day. Michael was so good looking in his new suit and he was so proud to bear his testimony this morning at church. It was a great day.

Family Times

I thought I had just done this, so this is a trial run.
